Year: 2002

Company foundation

The success story of Rogator AG began with the founding of the company in 2002. As a pioneer in the field of online research, the young company developed the first software tools for online surveys at that time. In the following ten years, the aim was to establish this innovative solution as a firm pillar of market research.

Thanks to the constant further development of our software tools and the high level of commitment of our team, the company grew continuously. Through regular analyses and market observations, Rogator opened up relevant areas of application and expanded its offering. The possibilities of online research became increasingly important and are now regarded as the most widely used and indispensable methods in market research.

Year: 2005

Consulting at Rogator: With know-how to success

In the following years, our methodological knowledge of conducting online surveys also grew. This extensive know-how became so essential for our customers that in 2005 the company decided to add consulting and project implementation to Rogator AG’s permanent range of services.

This decision expanded our portfolio to include services such as the development and programming of customer-specific online questionnaires, project management, statistics and interpretation of results as well as advice on possible follow-up processes.
In 2007, the expansion of consulting also brought with it a change of location: Rogator AG moved into its current premises at Emmericher Strasse 17 in Nuremberg.

Year: 2009

Rogator software tools: Reliability meets innovation

The development department also benefited from this company expansion, as the growing know-how had a direct influence on the continuous optimization of our software tools. As a result, Rogator expanded its software range in the following years to include

  • the panel software RogPanel (2009),
  • the management feedback tool Rog360 (2012),
  • the community software RogQ-Lab (formerly: RogForum, 2014)
  • and the text analysis software RogTCS (2014).

The latter now enables users to automatically evaluate and visualize qualitative ratings and open, unstructured text responses in online surveys for the first time – without any manual effort. This important step is a revolution for online market research and offers completely new possibilities for the use of qualitative surveys. The online research industry is now showing rapid growth and is becoming increasingly important. In 2013, Rogator received the Innovation Award of the BVM (Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Solzialforscher e.V.) for the development of the new hybrid technology HbbTV survey.

Year: 2015

In focus: customer and employee feedback

Over the following years, the tasks and the expertise acquired by our consulting team became so extensive that Rogator decided to split this division in 2015:

The focus areas Market Research and Employee Research were created. All three company pillars – software, employee and customer surveys – are constantly evolving, enabling Rogator to respond professionally to the individual requirements of its customers from all sectors.

Focus on core competencies

Not only has our range grown, but so has our team. In 2017, Rogator AG expanded its premises to include an additional wing. In 2020, Rogator finally decided to focus on its core competencies: Customer surveys and employee surveys. Today, the company sees itself as a specialist for reliable software tools and a service provider for customer and employee surveys. True to the motto Combined Competence, we offer our customers software and consulting from a single source and support them throughout the entire survey process with our full-service offering on request.
